Build Financial Confidence Through Real Numbers

Most people avoid budgets because they seem restrictive. We teach forecasting as a creative skill—predicting your financial future and adjusting your path before problems arise. Our courses help you see patterns in your spending and make decisions that align with what you actually want from life.

How We Got Here

Started in 2019 by someone who couldn't balance their own chequebook. The idea was simple—if you can't understand your finances after years of trying, maybe the teaching methods are the problem.

Foundation Year

2019

Launched our first workshop in Adelaide with twelve participants who admitted they'd never finished a budget spreadsheet. We spent more time talking about why budgeting felt impossible than teaching formulas.

Course Development

2021

Created our forecasting framework after realizing people need to see the future impact of today's decisions. Added scenario planning modules that let students test different financial paths without real-world consequences.

Remote Expansion

2023

Moved everything online during lockdowns and discovered remote learning actually works better for financial education. Students could review complicated concepts at their own pace and practice with their actual bank statements.

Current Focus

2025

Now working with over 200 students annually across Australia. Our autumn 2025 cohort starts in March, and we're adding specialized modules for freelancers and small business owners who face irregular income challenges.

The Person Behind the Courses

We're intentionally small. One instructor means consistent teaching quality and actual relationships with students rather than being shuffled between different teachers.

Financial education instructor

Riley Donovan

Lead Instructor & Course Designer

Former accountant who spent fifteen years helping clients fix financial messes. Now teaches people how to avoid those messes in the first place through practical forecasting skills.

What Changes Look Like

Student working through budgeting exercises

From Guesswork to Informed Choices

Marcus came in making financial decisions based on checking his bank balance and hoping for the best. Six months later, he's projecting expenses three months ahead and knows exactly when he can afford larger purchases without stress.

Understanding Irregular Income

Freelancers like Joanna struggle with inconsistent payments. Our forecasting methods helped her create buffer systems and seasonal planning strategies that smooth out the income rollercoaster without requiring a massive emergency fund.

Business Budget Clarity

Small business owners often mix personal and business finances until tax time creates panic. Our business-focused modules help separate these streams and create realistic growth projections based on actual data rather than optimistic hopes.

Long-Term Planning Skills

Emma wanted to save for a house but couldn't figure out how to balance current expenses with future goals. She learned to model different savings rates and see how they'd affect her timeline—turns out she could reach her goal faster by cutting specific expenses she didn't even enjoy.

Our Next Program Opens September 2025

We run intensive eight-week courses with small groups of 15-20 students. You'll learn forecasting frameworks, practice with your actual financial data, and develop habits that stick beyond the course end date.

Classes meet online twice weekly in the evenings, with recorded sessions available if you miss a live class. Expect homework—not busywork, but practical exercises using your real financial information.
